Do you quilt on the weekend?

I was just thinking about the fact that it's Friday! I love my shop, the customers who visit and the customers who have become my close friends, but the weekend gets me excited thinking about the possibility of some sewing/rughooking/crafting time! I do sometimes get a little of that in during the week, and definitely on Tuesday's when I'm working at home, but Sunday afternoon, usually is time I can devote to playing if I'm not working on a sample for the shop!  We have Open Craft Night at our shop on Thursday evenings and customer(friends) come and work on their projects with us. It is so much fun, and relaxing to me, and leads the way to the weekend, getting me in the mood to do more!  Last night I was working on a new hooked rug, that I hope to put into my book! I'm telling you all this,  because it will make me actually do it! Haha! Kind of like a diet. You feel more obligated to stick to it, because you sure don't want to be embarrassed!  Oh, by the way, I think I told you all about my Wheat Free diet and exercise a while back. I  have walked regularly and stuck to the plan and have lost 22 pounds! Yay! Chester is very happy about all the walking! I will give you a sneak peak of the rug soon! Here is a picture of a pillow we did in wool club! This one was completed by Carolyn!

Have a wonderful day, and let me know what you are working on this weekend!

  1. Darling pillow! And congrats on the weight loss success! That's awesome! I am working on the same thing, but need to keep at it. Wish I could come sew with you sometime. I love to sit and stitch with friends!

    1. Thank you, Missie! I need to keep at it also! Very hard to do, since my family gets together for dinner a few nights a week! Haha!
Would be very fun to stitch together!

  2. Wonderful pillow, wool is so fun to work with.
I found something wrong with the magazine, there are just too many wonderful projects to make them all, lol. I need to get started earlier in the season, I always get behind, so I tend to make things from patterns I get one year, the next year.

    1. Thank you very much, Debbie! We just got a ton of beautiful wools in the shop, and it's killing me! I want to play with it, but haven't had time since it came in!

  3. Congrats on the weight loss! What an accomplishment and inspiration :) I work at a school so my weekday crafting time has been severely impacted...now I need to find a balance between weekend crafting and weekend cleaning...guess which is winning ;P

    1. Thanks Diane!
I ended up without sewing time this weekend! Blah! I worked the shop Saturday, and then had company for dinner both nights, which meant cleaning! Yuck! But my fridge of 20 years looks so clean inside now, it's amazing! It will probably break down this week since I back-breakingly cleaned it so well! Haha! Maybe sewing will happen after my wAlk this morning!

    1. Thank you, Karen! And yay!! Make sure to make yourself known when you come in the door! If I'm not there, tell the gals I want to meet you, and they will call me to come in! Once a week or so, I work at home three blocks away, and would be happy to come in to meet you, if I'm not there!

  5. Just wanted to say hello, Jeni! You are one busy girl! Taking all that weight off will give you even more energy I bet, and Chester is loving it too, all that walking. Good for you!
Love your pineapple block. I need to "come over" more often and check out your blog. I miss you!
