Little project for class Friday!

This is a little preview of what I'm working on for my class on Friday.  I am still deciding how big and if I'll do any wool applique on it. Will it be a runner? Will it be a wall hanging? Decisions decisions!!! The blocks are 6" square, and are paper pieced. Any suggestions? I'll be working at home today on it, for the morning, and hope to have it all ready for applique if I decide to do that, and quilting this afternoon! I'll post a picture tomorrow of the class and finished project!!   Oh, does that mean I have to finish?
I hope you all have a wonderful day, and get to sew ALL DAY!!

  2. Looks a bit Like Christmas. You could add a border of holly or greenery appliqué if you want to give it a holiday feel. Very cute stars!

    1. Great minds much think alike! Haha! I just finished sewing the 6 blocks together, and decided on a wide border with one of the gold plaids. Then I drug out some pretty wool, and cut out a few holly leaves and red berries! It might just look really cute! Even though we did a Christmas in July quilt (this class group,) I think they will enjoy another last minute Christmas decoration quilt for their homes! I know I will!
Thank you Missie! It was fun making the stars once I stopped making mistakes and used bigger pieces of fabric! Ha!

    1. Thanks Paulette! I ran out of the fabric I planned to use for the border, so now I have to quit working in my jammies, get dressed and head to the shop to finish! Drats! I was having fun listening to Christmas music in my sewing room! Haha! Maybe I can sneak back home for the finishing!
      Thanks again,
